Choose Whom You Will Serve

Joshua used his last words to warn the elders of Israel that his death was imminent and to remind them of what the Lord has done. Has the Lord done anything for you? Has He redeemed a terrible situation? Has He comforted you in a time of loss? Were you at the end of your rope and then God intervened? God wants us to remember His redemptive acts. All of us serve someone or something. Joshua is telling us to choose to serve the Lord. We have countless choices each day and God lets us make them. Our days are limited and we have to answer to God when our life is over. The wisest thing we can do for ourselves is to choose to serve Him.
