Women's Brunch with Raise My Head Foundation
The mission of Raise My Head is to provide women who are breaking free from sex trafficking a safe residence where they can receive healing and restoration. The Foundation draws inspiration from the sunflower, which lifts its head each day to the warmth of the sun’s rays. For trafficked women, love is that light. The love of Jesus destroys addictions, shatters lies, heals broken hearts, and restores a woman’s voice. Raise My Head offers a two-year residential program that includes not only food and shelter but medical care, counseling, therapy, education and job training. The women have also begun a business making and selling natural skincare products in order to develop job skills and build their resumes for employment. We’ll have the opportunity to hear stories of hope from the women as well as purchase skincare products. Officers from the Wichita Police Department will also be with us to share on the reality of trafficking and how we can get involved in helping victims.
