Words are powerful. They can change things. For example, when I am discouraged and someone encourages me with their words, my outlook changes. I bet the same is true for you.

The Bible is filled with words. And all of the words in the Word are for our benefit. God’s words change things. The Bible says that nothing is impossible for those who believe in Jesus. The words in the Bible are hope for the hopeless and friend to the friendless.

Am I listening to what people are saying? Sometimes their words let me know they are hurting. Sometimes their words let me know they are struggling. Sometimes their words let me know they are looking for direction.

God’s words matter. God’s words can heal the sick. God’s words can deliver the addicted. God’s words lift up the downtrodden.

I want my words to matter. I wonder if my words can be more in line with God’s words. That’s a thought. Think about it.
